Hi there, I’m Kimberly Gauthier—dog mom, raw feeding enthusiast, and the creator behind Keep the Tail Wagging (my blog) and Raw Feeder Life on social media.
My journey into fresh food feeding began in 2013, when my dog, Rodrigo, was given a grim prognosis: he wasn’t expected to live beyond his third birthday. Determined to fight for him, I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about raw feeding and holistic care. I started sharing what I learned on my blog, hoping to help other dog parents facing similar challenges.
I’m happy to say Rodrigo defied all odds, living 10½ years longer than that veterinarian predicted. And my dog, Scout, who was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2021, lived more than 500 days post-diagnosis, a full year longer than we were told to expect, thanks to fresh food and holistic support.
Over the years, I’ve taken several online courses in canine nutrition and raw feeding, earning my CPCN (Certified Pet Nutrition Coach) from the Feed Real Institute in 2023 and my BRNC (Billinghurst Raw Nutrition Certification) from the Billinghurst Institute in 2024. While I don’t offer professional consultations, the education I’ve gained helps me feed my dogs a healthier diet without feeling overwhelmed, and it fuels my mission to share practical, approachable information with fellow dog lovers.
I’m not a veterinarian, nor do I claim to be an expert. I’m simply an obsessed dog lover passionate about helping others navigate fresh feeding and holistic dog care.
